Imagine Day and Clubs Days Staffing

Imagine Day is Tuesday, September 5th this year, and Clubs Days will take place on September 19-20 (several batches it seems, but this is our batch!). This is an important time for us to inform people about the club and sign up new members, so if you're interested in sharing your excitement about the VOC, come on out! Even if you can only make one shift that will help. In addition to being lots of fun, helping out during Clubs Days will count as a workhike.

When and Where (Imagine Day)

Tuesday, September 5th, 2016 1:00 pm until ~5:15pm (set up at 12:00)

Location: We are somewhere on Main Mall (between Agricultural Road and the Beaty Biodiversity Museum, on either side of the fountain), exact location TBD.

When (Clubs Days)

Tuesday, September 19th, 2016
Wednesday, September 20st,2016
Each day from 10:00 to 15:00.

Location: In The Nest on the lower level.

Volunteer Hours

Imagine Day

For Imagine Day, we'll have a booth outside, where we can advertise to students. We'll also need a couple people in the clubroom where we can direct new members to sign up, while also answering questions about our awesome club. We will need help setting up and taking down the booth as well.

Club Days

We need volunteers to be at our booth to answer questions about the Club, sign people up on their computers, and sell tickets for Rock Party. Preferably three members in each time slot, with at least one exec per time slot.

Things We Need for Imagine Day

  • Laptops to sign people up on e-mail list for Info Night
  • VOC journals for the very curious
  • A sign/flag, but not too many props to clutter the booth (some is good though!)
  • NOTE: We can't sell anything (including memberships) at the booth

Things We Need for Clubs Days

  • Rock Party tickets, cash box for Rock Party (keep cash separate for Rock Party)
  • Laptops for people to sign up and sign liability releases
  • Somewhere to keep money securely
  • Some change in case everybody pays with $50!
  • VOC journals for the very curious
  • A sign/flag, but not too many props to clutter the booth (but some for sure!)


Bringing photos of club trips may be fun to share as well.
Just remember, please, you are representing the club while you are at the booth!
