 2) From the exec's desk

- The banquet will be at the ANZA club (near MEC). Details have been finalized, so we're good to go.

- The 80's ski social raised $350 for the CAC (Canadian Avalanche. Centre) which will be donated soon.

- The MEC club night (%10 off) has been set to April 26th, and it will be separate from the ACC club night.

III. Miscellaneous

1) The exec needs YOU!

The VOC exec will be changing over at the banquet. If you think the club is doing a great job, join the exec to keep us moving in the right direction. If you think we're doing things terribly, join the exec to help guide us in a better direction. This is YOUR club, help keep it awesome.

We're still looking for a few more slideshow presenters for this year, only a few slots left! Have you had an amazing experience in the outdoors or while traveling? Have some impressive photos to show the club? Want to give an outdoor related workshop? Ignacio would love to hear from you at rozada@math.ubc.ca

4) VOC T-Shirts and Voile straps on sale

The colourful and inspiring VOC t-shirts have been a hit! We still have a few left, so why don't you come over to the clubroom to get one for yourself or as a gift? We also have lots of VOC Voile straps on sale, very useful in many situations (I own at least ten).

IV. Ms. Manners

Do you have a question for Ms. Manners? If so, email it to to your friendly neighbourhood VOCene editor and he'll forward it to Ms. Manners for review. Remember, there's no such thing as a stupid question, so ask away.

Dear Ms. Manners,

I've been in the VOC for two years now - I went on some exciting trips, learned lots of new skills and most importantly met many cool people. Now, I'm thinking that maybe I'd like to do something for the club. Help contribute in some way. I've already done a few work hikes, but I'd like to be more involved...?

Thank you,
Want to Help

===============

Dear WH,

Yes! You can help the club by joining the exec. This might appear daunting, but it isn't, really. Mostly they meet once a week around lunch time to talk and plan various things. In addition, each exec member has something he or she is responsible for, such as gear, the slideshows or the VOCene. This is all done in a relaxed atmosphere, and any suggestions or ideas are encouraged. If you think we should get VOC stickers made, have a bonfire social or anything else, you can make it happen!

Yours,
Ms. Manners
