Archive:Olympic Torch Relay at UBC, 2010
The Olympic Torch Relay will be coming to UBC, and the VOC will be hosting a booth in the Olympic Torch Relay Celebration event along with other UBC campus groups. We are looking for volunteers to help out with the VOC booth, which will involve interactive games including: the coin reach game, human bouldering, tabling, balance tug of war (name to be decided), and prusiking. It's okay even if you don't know the games (I didn't), come out and have fun! In addition, helping out during the event will count as a workhike.
This is not a member-recruiting focused event (like Clubs Days), but it would help to know some of this information: Frequently Asked Questions

Olympic Torch Relay event at UBC officially begins. As the purpose of
this event is to celebrate the Olympic Torch passing through, we ask
that booths focus their attention on the torch relay as it crosses the
festival area. There will be plenty of notice before it arrives, and
specific details to follow.
