What
This hiked is aimed at any new members who have joined and don't have any experience hiking but it is also for those with more experience who are hopeless when it comes to botany (being able to identify the plants). So come and join me for an easy hike while I share some of my knowledge of vascular plants (you can ask me what this means latter) with you. However, I can't promise that you will leave the hike with a basket full of edible wilds since it is getting late in the season and it may already be hard to identify some of the plants.

Transportation
Buses and ferries! I will be leaving on the number 17 that departs from UBC at 6:23 am then taking the 257 Westbound Georgia St at Seymour St. and arriving at the Horseshoebay bay ferry terminal at 7:41. We Can meet up at the Horseshoe Bay ferry terminal and leave on the 8:00 am ferry to Bowen Island- if you are late I will not wait for you, you will have to catch the next ferry and try and find us in the park! If you need to figure out how to get to the ferry from where you are translink trip planner is a good source to use. Also google maps is a good resource. If you plan to drive to Horseshoe Bay there are parking fees
Where to Meet
Lets meet by the ticket office. I have booked us on the 8:00am ferry so we need to sign in as a group. My number is 778-899-3009 if you get lost and I will have a 1989 MEC green and purple backpack on for you to recognise me with. PLEASE get there by 7:40 am on time for our reservation.
