2) VOC Monthly Summer BBQ - July edition � Wednesday, July 6th
It's almost that time of the month again! Come down to Spanish Banks at the end of Tolmie St. at 6:30 to hang out with all of your favourite VOC friends and eat their food.

Christian Veenstra has developed a bit of a reputation, among other awesome things, for his summer "moderate-friendly" trips. Rest assured that this will be a gong show in all of the right ways. A great trip to broaden your backcountry horizons with a big, competent group.

- A crew caught both the sunrise and the sunset on the longest day of the year while skiing on the North Shore. Rich S. wore a costume. TR here: http://www.ubc-voc.com/phorum5/read.php?3,74145
- Ben SP's trip to scope out the Harrison Hut access happened, and is reported to have involved creek crossings and sidehilling on steep hardened mud. We'll be sure to hear more about their findings up there.

If you haven't grabbed your VOC Journal yet, you are really missing out! This year's journal is packed with epicness, hilarity, and thought-provoking discussion about the outdoors, the VOC, and everything in between. The cost of the Journal is included in your membership fee, so you owe nothing for your first copy. If you'd like more than one, extra copies are available for $20.
