Description:

Ladies! Gear up for the seventh annual Womyn’s traverse! It is going to be an estrogen powered ski trip to celebrate strong independent women skills. (sorry boys, maybe organize a traverse of your own and we’ll swap keys😉 )

The idea is to ski the Brew to Cypress traverse, which could be done in a loop and will avoid annoying car shuttling. I rather spend the day on ski’s. Details about to come and suggestions about a different objective are more then welcome. Ofcourse skill level of interested women are important too.

This is an advanced/intermediate friendly trip. If you're not sure, the following list suggests useful things to have knowledge with, though perhaps not uber-necessary if you're tough and there are enough experienced folks on the trip:

Having gone overnight backcountry skiing before, just so you know what to expect and can ski with an overnight pack.

Strong survival skiing skills, or at least being able to ski okey

Avalanche terrain awareness, preferably AST1

If you are not sure if you are right for the trip, feel free to ask on the message board or email me.

There will be a pre-trip meeting on Thursday March 22nd in the club room to go over the details and logistics. Looking forward to get out with you!
