Description:

Wild Haggis is a mythical and mistical creastures originally residing in the Scottish Highlands. It's meat is one of scottish delicacy and highly prized for it's haggisness.

The rumor has it that they are slowly spreading all over the world as they've been piggybagging Scottish immigrants for centuries. Canana is no immunte to such an invasion with steady and substantial number of Scots poluration settling from Highland in last the 200 years.

I've been peeling my eyes for the hint of Wild Haggis for a few years. Finally I've come across a little hint of their possible residence in BC. Among the pointy peaks in Fanning Range near Squamish, I learned one mountain peak is secretly dubbed as Haggis Peak.

On this trip, we'll go up Furry Creek FSR to access the meadow and see if we can spot a Wild Haggis or two that has came out of hibernation.

Btw, Furry Creek FSR is locked 1km off the highway. We may or may not use bike to cover the FSR part of the travel.

Conveniently a BCMC cabin (Mountain Lake Hut) is in the area, though it's a little out of our way. We may or may not stay there depending on the preference of majority.
