End: Sunday, Jul. 29th, 2:00 pm
Pre-trip meeting location: UBC (TBC)

Description:

Like many poor students, a car is not a luxury I can currently afford but luckily that doesn’t stop the adventuring!

The rough plan was to leave UBC on Friday after work and evo share/bus our way down to Horseshoe bay and get the 6:55 ferry to the sunshine coast. After finding a camping spot, we can get up early on Saturday and head up Mount Elphinstone. This will leave us an afternoon to go exploring further, read, or just sit and stare at the view for a few hours- whatever tickles your fancy.

After a few beers Saturday night a gentle walk down and return ferry can bring us back to Vancouver with plenty of time to sort out the weekends dirty clothes.

Its a pretty tough hike up so I wouldn’t try this trip as a beginner, but if you’ve been out of a few hikes and just want to have a fun/casual weekend trip then come and join us!

If the trip becomes popular we will meet on Wednesday night at 6 on campus just to sort a few last min details (tents and food etc.)
