Description:

Hello VOCers!

This is the sign up tool for Glacier School G2, a peer-instructed weekend course in advanced glacier travel/rescue techniques led by myself and Raz Peel.

We will be a smaller group, likely headed to the Mount Baker area. We will be focussing on travel and navigation considerations and some advanced rescue techniques, though there is some flexibility built into the curriculum for group interest.

To sign yourself up as committed, participants MUST have the following requirements:

- be able to attend the pre-trip meeting
- have previously taken G1 or a comparable glacier travel/rescue course that covered hauling systems
- have fully read and understood the latest glacier manual (link to be provided here shortly)
- have a knowledge of top rope belaying, anchors and rappelling

We're very excited to be hosting G2 this year, and sign up may be competitive. To ensure you have the best odds of getting a spot, please answer the sign-up questions with as much detail as possible. Thank you!
