Description:

Hi everyone,

I recently kayaked from Jericho to Squamish, and the trip made me want to spend some more time kayaking around Squamish. Northern Howe Sound is a very beautiful place to kayak. I want to practice kayak self rescues and try to kayak as far up the Squamish River as I can (it's very possible that it won't be too far). It can get quite rough in northern Howe Sound, and that is why I want to practice kayak self rescues there.

I plan to be on the water for about four to six hours.

We can either drive kayaks up from Vancouver or rent kayaks in Squamish for this.

If you sign up, please let me know whether you have a kayak and how much kayaking you have done. As it can get quite rough in northern Howe Sound, only people who have kayaked before will be able to come.

We should definitely wear wetsuits since we'll be in and out of the water.

Sign up if you're interested!

Alex
