Description:

Swimpacking is a style of touring where a swimmer puts gear for overnight camping, clothes and food in a dry bag, ties it to their body and swims far enough not to be able to swim back the same day, where they set up a camp and stay overnight. Kind of like backpacking  but in the water and not hiking, but swimming.

Swimming session at Jericho Beach on Saturday (Sept 15th) at 1 pm! I will be testing my new swimpacking kit while doing a few laps between the piers of Jericho Beach. Come join me to learn about towing bags in the water and about swimpacking in general or simply for a swim.

You need a wetsuit, swimming cap and ear plugs to swim in cold water. Towels and hot drinks might help us regain dexterity and sense of balance a bit faster, so bring those too!
