Description:

Join the 2017 winners of the Neil Mackenzie Adventure Grant to talk about their adventures in Scotland!

Cora Skaien and Nicole Barrette read bout the exploits of the Ladies Scottish Climbing Club and "planned an entire climbing trip centered around the idea of repeating many of the first all-female ascents outlined by the club in their early days.”

Kelsey Miller and Carly Peterson explored the Highlands and the Isle of Skye.

In their own words "We had heard tales from friends overseas of bushwacking paradises (i.e. no bushwacking) and vast green valleys that were open to roam freely. They described images of lush rolling hills, weathered sea stacks, endless rivers and wild marshy grasses which rooted themselves deeply in our imagination. These features belonged to none other than the Scottish Highlands; their mountains were calling, and we had to answer."

Come chat, listen, and get inspired to go on your own adventure!

PS: If you are already stoked to go on your own adventure, want to apply to the grant and don't need more convincing, please visit the 2019 Neil Mackenzie Adventure Grant wiki page or the trip agenda post to apply!
