Description:

Hello!

Rather last minute, but I am finding that weekends tend to sneak up on me rather quickly these days...maybe you are in the same boat?

The forecast for Sunday looks nice and I am thinking about heading to Mt. Gardner (on Bowen Island) for the day. This will be my first 'real' hike after taking some time off due to injury, so I am not looking to do anything overly tough. I also don't have a car anymore so transit-friendly made sense to me.

Mt. Garder is located on Bowen Island, a short 20 minute ferry ride from Horseshoe Bay. The hike itself is about 700m of elevation gain and ~15-18 km roundtrip, depending on who you believe, plus the walk to and from the ferry to the trailhead, ~2-3 km each way (with luck this can be hitchhiked). I am also open to other destinations, but this is the going idea for now.

If you are interested please send me an email or give me a call and we can sort out some details!
