Warning: This is an old trip - it already happened

Warning, this trip has been cancelled : Since the Gondola was cut, there is no access to the beginning of Sky Pilot; turns out the trails up are closed as well. Perhaps next year!

Description:

**UPDATE**

Unfortunately, when the Sea to Sky Gondola had its cable cut, the Sea to Summit Trail that allowed access to the beginning of the Sky Pilot hike was closed as well. Despite my efforts to find an alt route, nothing seems viable. Stay tuned; we may yet throw together a last-minute alternative to this objective.

****

In an effort to pretend that classes have not yet started, we'll be spending Sunday the 8th scrambling in Squamish. Our target is Sky Pilot; a ~14km single-day scramble.

We aim to keep our group fairly small (~4 people), but would be thrilled if enough people came to form multiple groups to keep up with different speeds.

This trip is intended for people with experience on fairly serious scrambles in the past. Judging by the trail descriptions, the scrambling hits low fifth-class terrain, meaning that this isn't the hike for you if you're not prepared for an adventure! We also cross some small snow fields, so an ice axe is (strongly) recommended. Crampons are a bit more optional.

The plan is to leave bright and early on Sunday morning. Currently, we intend to split the cost of a Evo for the day, so priority would be given to anyone with a car.
