Description:
Hey VOCers! Posting this here for those of you who are interested:
The talented and wonderful Daye Cooper is hosting a Mental Health Wilderness First Aid course in Vancouver on October 26-27 and would love to extend the invitation to VOC members.
The course provides an interactive and evidence-based approach to recognizing, assessing, and supporting clients experiencing mental health struggles in the backcountry (e.g. anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, psychosis, self-injury, suicidal thoughts, etc) and is specifically designed for wilderness travellers as a complement to traditional first aid courses.
Facebook event for the course: https://www.facebook.com/events/559525381253123/
