***VANPOON'S CHRISTMAS SKI TRIP***
24th - 29th Dec in Osoyoos, Okanagan!
(PLEASE READ THE WHOLE POST BEFORE ASKING QUESTIONS - TIA!)
Hey everyone!
Some friends (2 of us VOC members) and I (the Vanpoon's as we have nicknamed ourselves) have booked a beautiful house in Osoyoos for an EPIC POW SKI TRIP.
A couple of people have dropped out so we have space for 3/4 awesome people to join! 
Our 8th member is a lovely Boxer dog called Birdie - be aware there will be a dog with us!
PLAN
Drive to Osoyoos from Vancouver early on Tues 24th and spend the 4/5 days skiing/snowboarding/snowshoeing/hiking etc around the Mt Baldy/Apex areas. (1 - 1.5 hours away from accommodation).
Some may also slip in a bit of wine/cider tasting too ;)
We will have most breakfasts and dinners together and have lunch wherever we happen to be as people may do different activities.
Hang outs/games/movies in evening and sometimes go to the pool/jacuzzi at the sports centre down the road ;)
Drive back on Sunday 29th arriving aft/eve.
SKI INFO
We have a mix of beginner to advanced ski/snowboard levels in the group and some of us may do some back-country if we can get gear (we have AST1+).
The expectation is to ski a maximum of 3 days (due to cost/logistics of arrival/leaving) but there will be 3 cars so we do have some flexibility.

COSTS
Rough budget would be $400 + individual expense for skiing/activities.
We will split communal costs e.g. accommodation, food, alcohol, rentals, gas etc. We will also do a secret santa ($20 max) and have a variety of games etc when we hang out.
Bedrooms split by couples/gender - atm we have 2 couples and 3 individuals. We all know someone in the group but not everyone so it's not clique :)

PREFERENCE
- Someone who can commit to the whole time.
- Perhaps prefer at least 1 female as we are currently 5 guys and 2 girls.
- Someone who skis/snowboards and has their own gear.
- Drivers (we have rental cars but if you have your own car (with snow tyres) that could push down costs for everyone.
- Someone who is friendly and easy-going. (We are currently a mix of Canadians, Australians, Brits, Spaniards and Brazilians)
- Someone who doesn't have major dietary requirements (our plan is to share, keep food simple and to split costs)
- Someone who is happy to share a bedroom with others of the same gender.

We will try to meet as a group before we go so we can all meet each other and deal with any logistics if need be.
