Start: Thursday, Mar. 12th, 6:30 pm
End: Thursday, Mar. 12th, 9:30 pm

Description:

In an effort to support public health and prevent the community spread of disease we are NOT GOING TO HAVE A POTLUCK at tonight's AGM. We will still have beer and cider for sale ($3), and if you want to eat, we suggest that you just bring some of your own food. Potlucks are a VOC tradition, but it's just not worth potentially spreading anything by sharing containers of food right now. Please spread the word to other people you may know that are going tonight that may not have seen this.

Location: West Point Grey Community Centre at Aberthau Mansion

Potluck, beer & cider, awards, music, and year-end socializing! Don't let the "meeting" scare you away - the AGM is always a great time and you should come!

Bring a potluck dish to share and your own plate and utensils (we won't have any disposable stuff)Beer and cider will be $3 so bring small money and your own cup!

The meeting part will start at 7pm and include:

  • Announcing the winners of the Neil Mackenzie Adventure Grant and the Photo Contest
  • Results of the executive elections
  • General meeting business (year end finances, constitution changes)
  • Awards!

Update: I have enough volunteers now, thank you!

I really need a few volunteers to help make the event run smoothly. None of it is much work, you'll still be able to hang out with everyone, and it counts as a workhike so if you're interested in being awesome send me an email ([email protected]). I'll even give you a free beer or cider! I need people to:

  • Help set up (6-6:30pm) and take-down (9:30-10pm), 2-3 people -> Chairs, tables, trash. Self-explanatory.
  • Check people in (6:30-7:30), 2 people -> the AMS requires us to get a list of members that attend the AGM, so you'll just need to sit near the door with a laptop and write down names as people come in. Pretty simple.
  • Beer and cider sales, 2 people per hour -> Must have Serving it Right/Special Event Server Permit. (I'll have to be pretty strict about this since we're literally on City of Vancouver property with them supervising...) Check-id's, take money, pour drinks. Easy-peasy.

You can vote for the elections here. And nominate people for awards anonymously at this Surveymonkey (check out the descriptions of the awards here.)

Stoked to see everyone there!!!!
