Description:

Snowshoeing to Mt. Iago and Mt. Great Bear: help Lianne find her skin.

I would be dishonest if I did not say this trip had an ulterior motive attached to it. As many of you may or may not know, two weeks ago I was touring at Mt. Iago and lost one of my skins. Don't ask how it happened, as our group was very confused about this ourselves. I lost my skin on a very specific slope, which I know of because it could not have happened at any other point, so I hope it has not 'moved' too far. Fortunately, this slope is very short. Your assistance for a short period of time to look around this slope thoroughly would be greatly appreciated, as I am holding on to the notion that I still may be able to find it.

That being said, I would be interested to snowshoe to the summit of Mt. Iago and maybe Mt. Great Bear that day...which could make a nice day trip for people. Doing both peaks will be dependant on our time and how quick the group is. These two peaks are accessed from the Coquihalla and are connected by a ridge. ***The trip is approximately 11km one way. While it is not incredibly steep and fairly flat most of the way, it is a fair distance, so expect to be going a moderate pace.** Expect a full-day outing. Therefore, snowshoes, snow gear, a large lunch, some snacks, and 2 L of water is required. Maybe a tool such as a pole or a shovel to help me look around? Not expecting too large of a group.

Ideally, I would not have a pre-trip meeting for this trip. Sign-up will be on a first-come-first-serve basis. Expect emails from me regarding the trip if you commit regarding the itinerary, cars, plus a more comprehensive list of exactly what you need to bring, etc.
