Description:

The ski gear is locked away in the clubroom and it's probably not the best time to cram a bunch of VOCers into a modo or a bus. Fortunately for us, the sun is out and the days are getting longer. In other words, it's the perfect time for some self-propelled adventures.

The plan is to ride through the Seymour demonstration forest and down to the river. Then we'll go for a very chilly swim followed by lunch and a hot drink. Be sure to bring your camp stove and everything you need to make some coffee/tea/whatever warms you up. We can arrange to share stoves if not everyone has their own.

You're also welcome to come, skip the swim, and wonder why anyone would choose to yjump in an icy river.

We'll try to meet and start riding at 9 am. I'll decide on a location or two to meet once people have signed up so we can choose somewhere convenient

This is very much a beginner-friendly trip so long as you're ready to challenge yourself and to spend some time in your lowest gears.

The ride is ~35km each way with a big hill 2/3 of the way through (roughly 2-3 UBC hills in size). It is also one of the nicest rides in Vancouver.

The pre-trip will be done over email faff.
