Social distancing does not mean losing connection to friends (or your camping gear!)
On Friday, March 20th, I will be setting up my tent in my backyard and lighting my outdoor firepit ablaze, and I hope to see you all there (via Facebook messenger video chat!)
If you don't have a backyard, set up your tent in your living room, stick some glow-in-the-dark stars to your ceiling and turn on Netflix's "Firplace for your home". Bring your guitar and play some campfire tunes for us!
We will all join the facebook group video chat at 8pm and participate until we fall asleep or it gets too awkward!
Some other ideas I have for the trip are:
- Tutorial on roasting marshmallows over your stove burner
- Drinking lots of whiskey
- Group singing of VOC Song Book jams
- Best pyjama contest / fashion show
- Virtual sherades/ fishbowl
- Spooky ghost stories
Forecast for Friday night is clear skies and a low of 2 degrees C, so wear warm layers!
