Start: Thursday, Jun. 18th, 6:00 pm

Description:

Location: Locarno Beach between the bottom of Tolmie St. and Sasamat St.

Now that COVID restrictions are easing a bit, we can start having some smaller, socially-distanced gatherings! These picnis will replace our normal, monthly summer BBQs and will be slightly different:

  • To ensure that we're following the provincial guidlines for gathering size we will be using a sign-up. Please take this seriously - only sign up as going if you actually are and don't come (or bring someone else) if you aren't signed up...
  • Bring your own food, picnic style. We won't use the club grills this summer to avoid having people clumped around them and touching the same things.
  • Try to maintain a bit of distance when you're chatting with people. Also kicking a ball around is probably going to be a bit of a better option than throwing a frisbee.

We encourage you to use these picnics not only to catch up (and make new friends!) but to find some people you'd be interested in forming a car-group/social circle to go on trips with this summer (we'll be posting guidelines shortly for resuming trips this summer)!
