Description:

Note: Please be sure to check out the club’s guidelines for staying safe in these weird times, and we’ll be sure to discuss at the pre-trip meeting how to maintain a responsible environment for everyone throughout the trip!

Let’s head out to the Coquihalla for a short overnighter. The hike in is pretty moderate, just around 5 or 6 km one way (might be somewhat longer if we can't drive all the way up the forest road) with maybe 700 m of gain. From there we will have a couple of options for peaks to hike or scramble, depending on weather and how everyone feels. Overall this should be a pretty chill trip, so beginners are welcome to join if they can get the necessary gear! This is a beautiful area, with some lovely open meadows and a small lake/tarn surrounded by peaks. Also hopefully there will be wildflowers out by then!

Feel free to contact me with any questions.
