I am leading the accompanying Golden Ears overnight self-propelled camping option for this weekend https://www.ubc-voc.com/tripagenda/details.php?tripid=2412

This trip is going to be a very chill day adventure to Golden Ears with flexibility depending on who is coming and what they want to do. Options could be 1. chilling at Aloutte Lake 2. Hiking with little elevation 3. Hiking with more elevation. I'm flexible, just wanna be outside this weekend.

Day trippers will need to obtain a day pass through BC parks reservation system. I don't predict them selling out as it will likely be rainy this weekend. They open at 6am and I think you reserve them (free) 1 per vehicle - max 8 people per vehicle. Aka your car group will need one. Bikers don't need them.

The car groups will be organized by bubble/household or else people will need to wear masks in the car. Email/message me if you need help getting a car spot!

Rough schedule:

- leave the city roughly 8am (or later if y'all want) and drive to golden ears (under 1.5 hours)

- meet up with the overnight crew wherever they camp (probably at Hiker's Beach or Alder Flats (3km, 300m elevation) ) - or if we chill at Aloutte Lake, they would hike down.

- drive back to the city when your car group wants to, probably before dinner time

- eat, shower, and sleep in your own warm, cozy bed

A semi self-propelled option is available if you wanted to sky train out to like Port Coquitlam (36km, 265m elevation - not horrible!).

This is an "evo-able" trip so grab your friends and an evo and come on out.
