Organized by: Nguyen Tang.

Start: Wednesday, Oct. 21st, 6:15 am

Description:

Do you like bikes? Do you like donuts? Do you like waking up at an ungodly hour in the middle of the week to bike really far for donuts? Are you an absolute mad lad?

If you answered yes to any of those, then this trip is for you!

Details:
What: Bike to Deep Cove, catch the sunrise, get donuts/breakfast/coffee from Honey's Donuts, bike home. Weather should be nice if forecast can be trusted.
16 km each way (from Commercial-Broadway), about 150m elevation gain

When: Wednesday Oct 21. Sunrise is at 7:44, Google Maps says just over an hour pedal, I can probably do it in 45 min but just to leave some breathing room, let's meet at 6:15. Can meet later if everyone is confident in their biking ability.
Honey's opens at 6am

Where: Meet at Broadway-Commercial Safeway

What you need:
- A functioning bike
- Ability to pedal
- Unhealthy amount of stoke at 6 am
- Blanket or puffy jacket to stay warm when at Deep Cove
- Water

No pre-trip, but if you have any questions or need to get a hold of me, comment on my post in the VOC FB group or text me at 438-926-9709

Just to be clear, this is going to be a pretty informal affair. I'll be bringing a first aid kit and some bike tools/spare tubes, but not planning on holding anyone's hands. Won't be setting any PRs, but won't be riding super slow either.

About me (since it's my first trip): Covid refugee from the McGill Outdoors Club and figured I might as well join the VOC and run some trips! One of our traditions was biking 15km off the Island of Montreal to go to Taco Bell, so this is like a slightly more classy and way more scenic version of that.
