Description:

What's better than wine, pumpkin flavoured things, and possibly a bunch of rain? Okay well maybe a few things, but I'd love to go backpacking sans-snow so I've chosen this relatively low elevation spot as my target. I have yet to do this hike though I have heard it is a pretty heafty 18km in so (keeping the rainy forecast in mind) moderate fitness and more-than-moderate stoke would be beneficial.

Along with those two items you'll need:

- Overnight gear (only sharing tents with those in your bubble as per covid guidelines)

- Waterproof-clothing

- Wine & pumpkin flavoured things (optional but highly recommended)

- Spooky stories (much appreciated)

My plan is to meet in the Gold Creek Parking lot in Golden Ears at 8AM Saturday. This would require a 6:30 departure from campus if that's where your at (I am). I am happy to drive 3 others in my car though if more would like to come we are gonna need some more drivers. We should be back at our cars by about 3PM on Sunday if online hiking times (approx. 6 hours one way) are accurate.

As of Thursday night I will make a WhatsApp group or send out an email to those of you interested or commited and we can plan from there.

Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions :)

Edit: Whhaaaat?? Saturday forecast showing some sunshine, all the more reason!
