If you are tired of the mountains (unlikely) or maybe the snow is the shits, then make a day to explore the UBC forests!

Sunday Feb 19th, Come on out for the second annual "UBC Grand Tour" on Sunday Feb 19th with the UBC Ancient Forest Committee (AFC). The prime attraction of this 4 hour hike is a visit to "The Totem Giants," which include a 65m tall grand fir (!!!).Additionally, we will pass several big maples and some 1.5-2 m DBH Douglas-firs on our route to Wreck beach. This is some seriously fine forest, right at the edge of UBC!

-Meeting at 12pm at Bean Around the World Coffee shop at Thunderbird and Mainmall.
-The hike will be about 4 hours and end at Wreck Beach.
-Bring good footwear and suitable clothing
