Description:

We recently installed a new woodstove at the Brian Waddington hut in Phelix Creek. Yay! Unfortunately this also means that we need to bring firewood up to the hut to fuel it. The trail also needs some blowdown bucked off of it and the outhouse probably needs a new hole to be dug.

A group of us are going to drive up to Pemberton thanksgiving long weekend to accomplish those things. We will leave somewhat early Saturday morning and return somewhat late Monday night. According to the latest condition reports on our new huts website, the logging road is passable for a 2wd vehicle.

Most of the work to be done will involve carrying firewood and digging a new outhouse hole so anyone is welcome to come, regardless of past workhike experience.

While the title of this trip does include the word "work", this trip is also going to be fairly social and probably a lot of fun in a beautiful area.
