We will ski/snowshoe to the Red Heather shelter in Garibaldi Park (~5km and 450m elevation). If you want an overnight trip see MJ's trip here details.php?tripid=2681 . If you might want to ski across the Garibaldi Neve next spring but are new to skiing see Steps to the Neve here  . Both are trips going to the same destination this weekend but this signup is for people who can only do a day trip on Sunday.
In the shelter there is a wood stove to warm up. There is a nice simple hill to practice skiing outside the shelter.

This trip is great if you have never skied or snowshoed before, if you have never seen snow before or if you just want to get outside. You can get telemark ski or snowshoes from the club room.

Please feel free to post any questions in the message board or email me.

We will try to bring as many people as we have car spots for. If you are a more experienced skier please feel free to join to help out as well.
