Okay so hear me out, climbing but in the dark.
It’s pretty cool ngl. Ask around, it was a vibe last time.
The Aviary has generously let me book the wall for Saturday, December 18th from 7-9pm.
So let’s do it, but this time with only RED or GREEN headlights.
I’m gonna cap the group size at 6. It’s a small gym and it's best with only a few headlights on but we’re gonna ensure there is adequate lighting for all climbers, belayers, and monitors (me) to be able to see the climbing equipment and ensure safety.
You can sign up with a buddy or just show up and hangout with some new friends. Who knows maybe this will be the start of a new belaytionship.
We won’t be doing any lead climbing and everyone has to follow The Aviary’s rules.
The Aviary also has some covid rules so we need to make sure we respect those as well.
I will be checking covid passports.
Pre-requisites:
- You have passed a belay test at the Aviary before (you don’t need to be an active member, but it's super cheap so you should sign up anyway)
- Have good vibes
Gear
- Red or Green Headlight (everyone needs to have one)
- Climbing gear (can rent from The Aviary)
- Harness
- Belay device
- Climbing shoes
Priority
I’m gonna go off the committed list, so mark the date and time sign up opens in your calendar.
If there’s lots of interest I’ll run some more sessions in the future.
If you’re a monitor at The Aviary, or friends with a monitor maybe don’t sign up and let some others use the space.
