Description:

Nelson Fretenburg and I are planning a trip up to Phelix Hut for 3 nights during this coming reading break.

We will be leaving early Tuesday morning and plan to arrive at the hut in the afternoon/evening, the drive is ~4hrs. The skin in is mellow and approximately 10km and 1000m of elevation. We plan to ski Wednesday and Thursday and head back to Vancouver Friday morning.

All of the skiing above the hut is in avalanche terrain, therefore AST1 will be required and you need to have a beacon/shovel/probe and know how to use them. Were looking to have a good time skiing and not make this trip too official.

We will be staying overnight so bring appropriate gear, and more details will be discussed in the pretrip meeting
