Description:
The VOC is built on a model where (random) members lead trips for other (random) members, and it's great because we get to participate in a big cycle of going on trips, learning things, leading trips and teaching people the things we've learned! People capable of running trips*: the VOC needs you! But, it's kind of daunting figuring out how to lead a VOC ski trip: planning, helping others along a skin track, worrying that something's gonna go wrong.
I'm leading Steps To The Neve Part 4, and would love to bring a few people along who haven't lead (m)any trips and are looking to start. If you want to get some exposure to leading a VOC ski trip and mentorship towards running your own, send me an email (click on my profile to see my email).
We will also be running a "how to run a trip" event in the near future, so if you're not free to co-lead this trip with me, stay tuned for that!
* A trip can be anything from a swim at the beach or a run in Pacific Spirit to a snowshoe up Hollyburn, to a big crazy ski traverse – it's your dream!
