Description:

A very last-minute trip!

This is an open call for anyone interested in joining me in exploring one of many of BC's decayed ski resorts. Silvertip Mountain Resort (skip to Min 19 in the linked video) is up the Sumallo FSR south of Sunshine Valley. I have never been, I don't know the location, I have no idea in what state the FSR is, whether it is infested with snowmobiles (highly likely?), and if we might have to bootpack for most of the way and don't even get to skiing up or down!

BUT: if you are into local ski history, choose your own adventure, slow snow hikes/ski ascents, safety and you have AST-1 and gear (who knows what we find), then come along!

There is a tentative route I found on Gaia, you can take a pe'a'k here.

If people sign up, we can have a short zoom call about this on Friday afternoon :)

PS Bring your swimsuit for possible post sufferfest sauna at the Hope Rec centre :)
