Description:

The Okanagan High Rim Trail a 57 km that runs between Vernon and Kelowna. The trail provides epic views of Kalamalka Lake, Wood Lake, and Ellison Lake, as well as providing panoramic scenes of the Okanagan Valley and its surrounding mountains. The total elevation gain for the whole trail is 1,964 m, so it’s pretty mellow but we'll be covering a decent distance every day. Some parts of the trail may still have some snow, so microspikes might be useful (I think snowshoes are probably overkill but I'll try to find out more about conditions).

I would want to hike the trail point to point, so we would need to drive to the Vernon end trailhead, drop off half the cars, and head back to Kelowna together. So depending on the number of car seats, each car will only be half full.  The plan would be to leave Vancouver very early Friday morning and get back Sunday night. If people are interested, I would also not be opposed to extending the trip a day or two to climb in skaha after the hike.

Will send out pre-trip meeting details later. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions or concerns :)
