Description:

Are you spending the summer working in the Rockies or in Calgary and need a ride there?  Or do you just want a one-way ride to the Rockies for some reason?  You can join me, if you'd like!  I'd normally just drive the full 10 hour trip in one day, but since the Trans Canada between Golden and Field is closed, lengthening the trip, I decided I'll take it easy and stop for a hike along the way as well.

I'm planning on driving from Vancouver to Calgary over the course of 3 days, with a stop in Revelstoke (or Glacier National Park) for a day hike, because I like Revelstoke.  The plan would be to drive out to Revelstoke on day 1 and car camp at a rec site or provincial park campground.  Then spend day 2 taking a nice day hike in Revelstoke or Glacier National Park, camping overnight in Revelstoke again or possibly driving to Golden and camping at another rec site there.  Day 3 would be the final drive through Kootenay and Banff National Parks, then reaching our destination in Calgary.

I may also decide just to do the drive in 2 days, still camping overnight in Revelstoke but cutting out the hiking day.

If you or someone you know needs a ride to Calgary or somewhere along the way (Kamloops, Shuswaps, Revelstoke, Golden, Banff, Canmore, etc.) and you want to join me, send an email my way!  You can find my email address on my member page :)
