^ This could be you!!
Here is a video of someone doing the full circuit in June, so you have an idea what to expect.
The Bowron Lakes Canoe Circuit is a gorgeous chain of lakes surrounded by temperate rainforest and mountains in Northern BC, some of the lakes are even lined with beautiful sandy beaches! This circuit is very popular so a reservation is required, only 50 people are allowed to start the circuit each day. I've made a reservation for 6 people, myself and two other friends are going, so there are still 3 spots available. Those with a car will have priority.
We will be doing the half circuit which is the west side of the full circuit, that includes Bowron, Swan, Spectacle, Skoi, Babcock, and Unna Lakes. You could comfortably complete this in 4 days, but I booked for 5 days because it’s nicer to have extra buffer time to just chill and enjoy nature. :) Since we’re going shortly after the ice breaks up it is going to be chilly, but it also means we will miss the July/August crowd so the solitude more than makes up for it! Be prepared for cold and rain as weather and lake conditions can change very quickly, however the west side of the circuit generally receives drier weather.
Backcountry experience is required and you must know how to swim. Since it includes only a few sections of moving water on rivers and lots of flatwater on lakes, this circuit is good for less experienced canoeists.
