Description:

Hey all! I really loved my day trip to Frosty Mountain right around this time last year and would love to do it again but as a backpacking trip instead. The larches should be turning beautifully golden by now!

I'm thinking of heading out on the Friday morning, hiking up the ~7 km to the campsite, setting up, and when the views look clear heading to the top of the trail. We would be heading back on the Saturday probably getting back in the evening.

EC Manning is a fair drive (about 2.5-3 h each way) so costs will probably be $5 for the backcountry permit + $20-40 for gas. The whole hike is ~22 km and 1200 m elevation but we can take it slow so this trip is appropriate for anyone with good health and a good attitude!

We could also organize a fun potluck on the Friday night :)
