Description:

The 2nd annual Cowichan Valley Nightmare (https://www.facebook.com/events/480503620388541) this Friday has been postponed due to an uncontrolled forest fire on the route, which is a real nightmare itself.

If you were planning on going, why not head into the night dreaming with our local Seymour Valley?

We'll be going on the Fisherman's Trail (https://landyachtzbikes.com/gravel-ride-route-guide-vancouver/fishermans-trail/) in the Seymour Conservation Reserve. The ride is approximately 80 km roundtrip from UBC. It is perhaps my favourite gravel ride in the Lower Mainland with 20km of compact gravel and forest service road, ending in a beautiful picnic area at the Seymour Dam.

We will meet at the south end of Burrard bridge on Burrard St. and Cornwall Ave at 7 pm and head to Fisherman Trail together. The ride will be approximately 80 km from UBC. We should be back in Vancouver by midnight, where you will go home with some sweet dreams.

This trip is NOT beginner-friendly. Lights are required.

This ride is social, not guided, meaning everyone is responsible for themselves, their decisions, and their bike. Bring a spare tube if you want to repair punctures.

There is no pre-trip, please sign up and show up.
