Description:

Are you interested in outdoor/hiking photography? Do you want an excuse to take a break from studying and get outside for a few hours?

My plan is to go for a walk/hike that is transit accessible from Vancouver to hang out and take some photos! You definitely don't need a fancy camera to come on this trip, any smartphone will do! And if you aren't interested in photography, feel free to come along and hang out to enjoy the outdoors anyway :)

I'm not a photographer by any means, but I really enjoy taking photos. Hopefully we'll be able to learn some skills from each other and end up with some shots that we're happy with. We'll likely be taking photos of waterfalls, trees, people, rivers, plants, etc.! Afterwards, I'd like us to share some of our photos in an album and we could potentially vote on our favourites :) It'll all be in good fun with no pressure at all. If you do consider yourself a photographer, please come along and share your skills with the group!

For locations, I was thinking of Seymour Demonstration, Lynn Canyon, Lynn Headwaters, Kennedy Falls, or just Stanley Park. They're all accessible by bus in a "reasonable" amount of time. I'm open to other suggestions if people have other ideas! We could also drive if people have cars.

The trip will be rain or shine (I personally love hiking and taking photos in the rain), so make sure you have appropriate clothing! We'll probably end up walking 5-10km with minimal elevation gain at a chill pace so this would be a great introductory hike as well!

I'm open to changing the date/time of the trip if that works better for others! There won't be a pre-trip, but I'll reach out to all that are interested/committed a week or so before the trip and we can flesh out our plan. I won't limit the amount of people on the trip, but we might split up if the group is big.
