Description:

You know what they say… exercise helps the brain … so the best way to start preparing for exams is to hit Red Heather for a little backcountry ski!

Red Heather is a great beginner-friendly destination, so all levels are welcome on this trip (though I recommend going on the first Steps to the Neve trip if you have never put skis on your feet before). If you don’t have backcountry ski gear you can rent from the club. Snowshoers are welcome to join as well. I’ll be bringing hot chocolate supplies for the warming shelter so bring a mug!

AST-1 and avi gear are mandatory if you are planning on skiing above the Red Heather hut. I’d be keen to do some beacon practice if people are interested.

Drivers will need chains for the road up to the trailhead, we can work out a shuttling situation though if not everyone has these.

Shoot me an email if you have any questions!
