Description:

Where are the best ski runs close to the Duffey Lake Road, according to John Baldwin? The area above Darkside Lake! -- a mere 5km and 550m of elevation gain. For two days of more advanced skiing it's a brilliant investment, so I'm eager to check it out. We'll have to see how conditions line up over the next two weeks though, so we may discuss other options, likely in the Duffey area, at the pre-trip meeting. I'll keep it tent-less in any case. If there's interest, I'm also open to going up Friday afternoon, rather than Saturday morning.

Gear and logistics will be discussed at the pre-trip meeting over Zoom. Email me with any questions before then.

This trip requires AST1, intermediate/advanced skiing ability, and some touring experience (I expect everyone to have at least a day or two out already this season). If there is space we could accomodate people who just want to ski to the lake and then chill/read/hang out during the day.
