Description:

I wasn't able to make the dry school trip last week, so I'm running another one for people to go over the knots and rescue techniques we learned/heard about in G1!

The plan is to get a couple of ropes out and go through various hauling systems (3:1, 5:1, 6:1) together before trying them out while tied into the rope. Afterwards, I would like to practice some self-rescue via ascending - if anyone has some good ideas for how/where to set this up (know any good trees?) let me know! You should bring your harness, ATC (if we end up belaying people off of trees), 4 locking and 2 non-locking carabiners, and 2-3 prusik loops. Pulleys would also be great!

This isn't strictly going to be an instructional trip, but if you're interested in glacier travel or some of the rope techniques feel free to tag along and we can talk about stuff!
