Description:

This is a last min trip to Joffres Lakes, extremely beginner friendly trip.

A classic hike easy weekend hike in the Pemberton area with beautiful glacier peaks.

"Joffre Lakes is one of BC's most beautiful hikes and is relatively easy to access compared to other alpine lakes. From the parking lot just off the Duffey Lake Road, head along the trail staying to your left at the fork and in just minutes you will reach the first of three lakes. The view is amazing with the glacier sitting high above the mountains."

It's a 3hr drive from Vancouver, the trail head is on a bit of a dirt road after taking the Sea to Sky Highway.

I've never been myself but it is a pretty low elevation gain, as long as you're comfortable with carrying your own camping gear, food and water. If you don't have gear come stop by MEC for rentals, as I will be there working all week. Ideally we would leave Saturday morning around 7am which gives us 3 hrs to arrive to the trailhead. We'll start hiking around 10am and arrive to the camp area 3PM if not earlier.

I do not have a vehicle so this will be group and vehicle dependent, and since this is quite last min (got the weekend off last min) there will be no pre-trip meeting. So please click attending and or email me directly: J[email protected] // <![CDATA[ !function(){try{var t="currentScript"in document?document.currentScript:function(){for(var t=document.getElementsByTagName("script"),e=t.length;e--;)if(t[e].getAttribute("cf-hash"))return t[e]}();if(t&&t.previousSibling){var e,r,n,i,c=t.previousSibling,a=c.getAttribute("data-cfemail");if(a){for(e="",r=parseInt(a.substr(0,2),16),n=2;a.length-n;n+=2)i=parseInt(a.substr(n,2),16)^r,e+=String.fromCharCode(i);e=document.createTextNode(e),c.parentNode.replaceChild(e,c)}}}catch(u){}}(); // ]]> and i will organize an email faff for food, rides, & meeting place :)

Cheers!
