So after the success of last weekend I figured we should go for it again.

This time let’s go for a weekend! On Saturday we will head up to Rohr Lake (about a 3 hour drive and maybe 3 hours to skin to the lake). After we set up camp we can spend the rest of the day yoyo skiing near the lake before retreating to camp for dinner and general merriment.

On Sunday we will try for Mt. Rohr. I haven't been to the area before but reading descriptions it sounds pretty friendly. I'm hopeful that as a team of poor skiers with plenty time we can make it ok. I'm further heartened by reading the end of this old journal entry (page 181, "what's a switchback?". Sorry Jess...)

That being said this is probably a bit more involved than a trip to Red Heather and the weaker skier you are the more you might need to rely on your other stronger attributes like determination, self deprecation and general sense of humour.

If it turns out I'm being overly ambitious then so be it, we can ski down from wherever we get to. Fun shall be had regardless and the weather is again looking gorgeous. If you've never camped before, or never camped on snow before then this is a good time to put that right!

Any questions or concerns then ask away, either on the message board or send me an e-mail.
