Description:
The Occasional Oldschool Outdoor Film Fest (OOOFF) is a little film festival we're putting on! We aim to show films that deal with either the legacy of mountains, environmentalism, and the outdoor world; or have a vantage point other than 'guy climbs big pointy thing'. This can look like lots of things, and we* basically just made it up, so come help us decide what it should look like!
Rotpunkt is the film we are showing for OOOFF, Vol. 2. Come learn about the climbing machine Alex Megos. The film shows the pain, planning, and art that is redpointing (free-climbing a practiced route on lead). Directed by Ken Etzel and Chelsea Jolly. Watch the trailer here.
The movie is this Wednesday, March 4th at 7pm in ANGU (Sauder) 335. We are asking for donations of $2 (or more!); we are donating everything to BC SAR.
