Happy Fall Reading Week everybody, let's go to Phelix!
I don't know about you, but I'm keen to get back on the slopes. For those of you who have not done any winter camping, please refer to this link for a gear list. Note that if you are sleeping in the hut, some of this won't apply.
Skiers and snowshoers are welcome! AST1 is not required to access the hut, but please be advised that destinations around the hut are in avalanche terrain. If you would like to ski around Phelix, you will need avalanche gear and AST1.
Basic plan:
Leaving Vancouver 6am on Thursday November 11th
Thursday to Friday: Skiing, drinking mulled wine, having a jolly grand ol' time.
Leaving the hut Saturday morning with the intention to be back in Vancouver Saturday afternoon if all goes well.
This trip will be co-led by myself and Linda Kiritchkov. I can answer questions about winter trips, gear, overnights and skiing/snowshoeing, but all specific questions about the approach to Phelix or the hut itself can be directed to Linda at [email protected]

**COVID-19: all participants must be FULLY vaccinated to be able to participate on this trip as per club and provincial guidelines. Masks during carpooling is encouraged.
