Hello hello!
It's about that time of year when we start collecting submissions for the 2021 VOC Journal. If you wrote a trip report in 2021, send it our way! Be it a silly, scary, sweet, inspirational or downright epic story - we want to read it.
As with last year, we'll be collecting journal submissions with Google Drive. If you're interested in submitting a trip report, please create a folder within the google drive folder, named in the format "first initial_last name". I have created an example folder (Ex: G_HURD) for reference. In the example folder you'll find a google document that outlines the preffered submission format, including contact info, photo captions etc. - so please take a look before submitting your report! Please include any photos in a seperate subfolder (take a look at example folder for reference). If you are submitting multiple reports (which is more than welcome!) you can include all submissions under the folder with your name, just please specify which photos are for which trip. The document titled "VOCJ64 Style Sheet" in the submissions folder outlines some specific stylitsic consitencies that the editing team will be following - feel free to give it a look prioir to submitting your trip report!
The deadline for submissions is January 16th. Please don't wait until the last minute to submit articles if they're already written - we appreciate any extra editting time we can get!
After the submission deadline, I will email folks to confirm that your trip reports have been accepted (we don't normally turn away submissions, so if you don't hear from me please reach out to ensure that we recieved your report!)
