Description:

Update: I have decided to shorten the trip to Friday and Saturday instead of 3 days.  We will be snowshoeing up to Elfin Lakes on Friday, frontcountry camping overnight near Squamish, then hiking the Chief on Saturday.

Send me an email if you'd still like to join!

Are you sapped of all energy after final exams?  Or just want to chill out after a winter of long and tiring ski trips?  Are you in the mood for some chill day trips and frontcountry camping?  Are you OK with a more unstructured approach to organizing a trip?

Perfect, this is the trip for you!

I'm planning on driving up to Squamish Thursday morning, and spending Thursday, Friday, and Saturday doing some chill day hikes/snowshoeing (or climbing if there are others who are interested) around Squamish and Whistler.  Feel free to share any hiking, snowshoeing, or climbing recs that would be good for a trip at this time of year!

I plan to camp Thursday and Friday nights at either the Chief provincial park campsite ($10 per person per night), Chek canyon rec site (free), or Cal-Cheak rec site ($15 per night for a site).  All of these campsites are first-come-first serve, with both drive-in and walk-in sites.  Which campground selected will be dependent on what day trips are chosen.

I can fit an additional 4 people + gear in my car, and other drivers and car groups are welcome to join!  If drivers and others are interested in joining for one of the day trips, or 2 days intstead of 3, that's an option as well (driver dependent of course).

If this sounds interesting, and especially if you have day trip ideas or recommendations, shoot me an email and hopefully we can get an email chain for the trip going!  (My email address is on my member page)
