Looking for yet another climbing trip and wanna spend a weekend in the mountains? Join mateja and I for a weekend at icicle creek near Leavenworth! We plan to leave after work on Thursday around 4pm to make the 4 hour drive down to washington, and hopefully return at a reasonable hour Sunday evening for work on Monday. Drive is around 4 hours.
This is NOT an instructional trip, so no formal teaching. A soft rock 3 requirement. Neither mateja and I have been to icicle creek before, so our purpose for posting is mainly to gather some like minded people because the more the merrier! This being said, if you are rock 2 and are very interested, still come to pre trip.
Most of what we know is found on mountain project, so check out the page: https://www.mountainproject.com/area/105790237/icicle-creek. There are a wide variety of crags and routes, as well as some bouldering. I have borrowed two crash pads from VOC. Also, i will be bringing my hiking boots because there is supposedly some great hiking in the area!
We'll be tenting, but car camping will def work too. Other attractions nearby include Leavenworth, which is apparently a quaint "faux-bavarian" town. Also, mateja and I have never been to trader joes, and we would like to check it out sometime during the weekend :)
