Description:

Note: This is NOT Step 5 of Steps to the Neve trip series. In other words, this is not a beginner's trip.

Plan: Ski the Garibaldi Neve in 2 days, camping near Opal Cone, somewhere on the glacier, or Sentinel Bay. These will both be roughly 20km days with significant elevation gain so we'll likely be skiing for 10-12 hours both days. We might decide to do the car shuttling faff the night before and camp at the Diamondhead Trailhead.

Requirements: AST-1, G1, winter camping experience, touring experience.

Note 2: I am running this trip sort of as a trial for a Pemberton Icefield traverse a couple weeks later. If you're interested in that trip as well, this would be a good trip to come along on and see how things go.

Martin talked about leading a small group of people up Nch'kay along this trip so sign up if you're interested and we can talk about it!

Feel free to reach out if you have any other questions!
