Description:

Going on trips is a blast, however sometimes it can be intimidating to take the plunge into something. Running trips can also be intimidating, especially in scary non-VOCer-friendly ways such as logistics, research, and general organization being involved that you can't just bypass by being fitter or getting a lighter ski setup... but like going on trips, it can also be a blast, and one of the most rewarding things you can do for yourself and the club community as a whole!

The goal of this session is to hopefully have an environment where a bunch of stoked people can work on adventure ideas together, and come out of it with a tangible trip that they can (and should!) run. Think office hours, but instead of your TAs it's your VOC exec and other people who have run trips before and are knowledgable about the area! We're coming up on shoulder season now so things might not be as straightforward to plan, but I think that always leads to the most interesting adventures.

If you're interested, I would highly recommend bringing an idea or two to this event. It doesn't have to be fleshed out - that's why we're here - just something that you want to do! It can be anything you want, and you don't need to treat our current trip agenda as a template. Also if you're keen on running a trip but don't know what exactly, that's okay too! We can do some reading together :)
